This is a 90's Hip Hop mix that I made to celebrate 50yrs of of the culture we hold so dear! My love for Hip Hop began in Elementary School in the 90's and has only grown stronger in the decades since. For me it began with my first "Too Short" cassette tape given to me by my sister Becky. This played on repeat until I discovered Dr Dre & Snoop a few months later. Once in high school it was more of the underground bboy music that defined my taste.

Hip hop is, and always has been, one of my favorite genres of music but 90's hip hop specifically will always hold a very special place in my heart. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip hop I am excited to release this exclusive 90's mix!

Disclaimer: I graduated High School in the year 2000. Just thought it would be funny to use my senior portrait for this so I changed the date to 1990! Enjoy :)

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
